  • Síolta the national framework for Early Childhood Education
  • Aistear the early childhood curriculum framework

The children's work is documented and observations reports are prepared each term for each child.

A verbal report is given to parents throughout the year and a written record is also kept to be shown to parents at our Parent Teacher meeting.

Dr. Maria Montessori regarded parents as partners in the child's education.

"The child is both a hope and a promise for mankind."  Maria Montessori

We believe in building a spirit of co-operation and rapport with parents from the beginning.

We invite our parents and children to visit the school before their child is enrolled so that they will be happy and comfortable in their new environment on the first day of school.

We at Castleknock Montessori School are carrying on the work started by Maria Montessori and to this end we attend workshops and refresher courses in order to keep abreast of developments in Montessori and mainstream education.

Dr. Montessori has left us a wonderful legacy:

  • A philosophy of life
  • A method of education
  • Materials with which to educate and
  • A system of teacher training which gives children the optimum foundation for life
